Does anyone have a link to the 1999 Thunderclap (clean) sample? I'm using the 2008 thunderclap, but it's doesn't sound authentic for the theme!

Problem, that's the 2008 version. I happen to loop have a sample from the National News Vamp, (looped from the "Radio Waves" remix.
Compare the tags. They are different! The tag from this vamp is the one I'm requesting! Sorry for any confusion

Correct, they were synthesised and more electronic whilst the original 1999 thunderclap was recorded using the orchestral session that formed the BBC News 1999 packages. Hence why many people see the 1999 music far superior to the 2003-present themes where they've become synths.
