They mentioned this later on in the programme. It was fine on Meridian South.

This story was also featured on BBC South East Today, their report featured DCI Burnside sitting on the woman's sofa. He neither spoke nor was he referenced in the report. I wonder why a DCI would get involved in a case of disputed dog ownership. Could there be more to this than we currently know?

Michael Fish phoned in to BBC South East Today this evening to say that he was stuck in traffic. I thought he was going to do the forecast via the phone but the only prediction he made was that he was going to urinate, instead they went down the boring route and got a pre-recorded forecast from Stav Danaos.

Would have been a nice idea but I suppose there could have been a number of issues.. i.e. Michael's phone gets cut off mid-forecast, noise of traffic, or the fact he was going to wee himself! Wink

Still, he's done the 10.35 forecast, even if he was 7 hours late!

None of those things would have been a problem. The weather is a novelty item at best on days like this when the weather has already been extensively covered in the news.

My understanding was that Lara was bought in to provide cover whilst Kaye was off, then when Naz left I thought I read or heard somewhere that she (Lara) was being kept on to replace her.

Elizabeth was on weekend duty yesterday but no sign of her today, instead another pre-record from Sara Thornton.

Not sure where the regular weather crew were today,Sarah Farmer recorded the Breakfast forecast and Reham Khan did lunchtime and 6.30 (and possibly 10.25 as well).

I wonder if Wendy Hurrell couldn't pre-rec this time as London Breakfast bulletins on Thursday were also pre-recorded? (To allow for live travel pres from the BH studio)
