The Freeview issue has become complicated, as it appears that a holding caption has now appeared, indicating that it might be back.

CNN International has ceased broadcasting on Freeview, describing its 22-month tenure on the DTT platform as a trial period.
The news network had occupied Multiplex C (Com 5), controlled by the transmission company Arqiva. Its four-hour nightly window came about after the earlier closure of the Nuts TV venture.
“With this trial period coming to a natural end on November 13th at midnight, we’ll be looking anew at the distribution opportunities across all platforms, for CNN content in the UK, as part of our overall international distribution strategy. We’ll now assess how Freeview might fit into our plans going forward as an international multiplatform brand in the future,” said a CNN spokesperson.

So in other words, they are hoping to make a return to the platform in the future, capacity dependent?

Poor Sara Sidner having a difficult bulletin tonight. She is guest anchoring Prism from here in Abu Dhabi, and the programme tonight has been beset with numerous technical and direction issues. I guess Sara prefers to be in the field, rather than stuck (albeit standing) behind a "desk".
Errol Barnett is away.
Becky Anderson is LIVE in Cancun, Mexico, for the Climate Change Talks, and is currently contributing to Prism.

Richard Quest now on air, doing his obligatory Christmas Day shift on CNN. A bit like Kay Burley does on Sky, RQ always does a shift or two on CNN on Christmas Day, although he didn't do the European breakfast shift that he normally does, but kinda noon onwards.
Edit: And he's doing it from CNN Center Atlanta to boot, and not from London as I had thought earlier.
