It was hideous. It looked like a home made version of the 2008 generic endcap used in other regions.

Did anyone notice at the end of last nights 6.30 edition a different endcap?

Does look very home-made. I don't really get why they changed it; couldn't they have just reduced the font size on the original one in order to incorporate their Facebook URL?

Just noticed the inconsistency there. Why is facebook.com prefixed with www and bbc.co.uk not?

Just noticed the inconsistency there. Why is facebook.com prefixed with www and bbc.co.uk not?
because of the BBC URL Onscreen guidelines, stating all BBC URLs do not need www. prefixed.

Doesn't explain the inconsistency really. facebook url should be aligned to bbc one then I would say.
Think the "www." is generally not needed. Certainly verbally - how many times do you hear tv and radio presenters miss a w?!

I checked earlier and facebook doesn't require www. On some sites it is necessary but either way the graphic should be consistent.

True. I just think it's sloppy design. Very little thought has gone into that graphic.

Indeed, Gorden's tripped over it at least once this week. I don't think it's that bad, not fantabulous, but it's not as bad as some opf the mocked up grahics we've seen from some regions before. Of a bigger note though is the BBC news box has been removed to accommodate these.
