Maybe it's something to do with the BBC iD system which I believe is used on the CBBC site - maybe it's not enabled on the new menu bar.

Good point you made but I found this image which shows it.

New BBC Comedy site has launched - http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy

Not sure about the design, or the implementation of the new visual language, for that matter. Too many arrows everywhere. Just all looks a bit amateurish.

Hopefully all these initial implementations of the new design will be refined once the more major parts of the site are overhauled.

The sites may get better over time, but so far I'm very disappointed by this Global Visual Language stuff. This is the bit that really annoys me:

We set out to broaden our ambitions; to create a design philosophy and world-class design standards that all designers across the business could adhere to.

The project was supposedly only re-started in August and I'm sure will get better over time, but if the recent site launches are a sign of things to come I'm not impressed, neither will the hundreds of thousands of very talented web designers who can now "adhere" to the BBC...

Just spotted Democracy Live on the BBC website, didn't know it even existed but has apparently been around for a while.

Sorry if it's been previously mentioned.

Me too, I really haven't liked the new 'global visual language' on other sites but I think it works well on the comedy site.

Nature UK has new global design. I hope they learn from the Doctor Who site that not everything has to be AS BIG AS IT CAN BE.

Why is the masthead on that Nature website different to the one they rolled out everywhere the other day? e.g. the new one?

Oooh! That's more like it! The masthead looks like it's the one shown in the new visual language. Looks great - really neat and tidy. Interesting that they seem to be rolling it out already, unless it's a mistake.

EDIT: I think it may be a mistake - clicking on the search bar brings up the background image from the other one. Hmmm...
