I know it's in the pipeline for all the regions, but how long have London News, Wales Today, Newsline and Reporting Scotland been available to watch on BBC iPlayer?

Finally!! The iPlayer versions have been online for a matter of weeks, if not days - I've been checking regularly since I was told that they'd be coming "soon" - that was about a year ago!

Wales Today hasn't been online at all for a number of years - it used to be online in an exceptionally poor quality Real Player stream but they took that down ages ago and it hasn't been online since, whereas all the others were available in WMV/Real until fairly recently (some still are, I think).

All of the regions outside London are still in WMV and Real format as far as I know.

Expect changes imminently, One person on twitter said soon, more than one person telling me within two weeks.

I think most regions have been broken for quite a while. South East and Points West don't seem to work.

The WMV option is no longer updated, only the real player is.

I've been able to watch in WMV recently, I opened up Windows Media Player and pasted the URL that comes up when you click WMV format when trying to watch your Regional Programme online.

Can I just say how useful the election site on BBC News has been! In my opinion examples like this are great reasons why we need the BBC! The site is far more useful and clearer than Sky, ITV, Channel 4 or any other news broadcasters' sites. The function allowing you to relate polls to seats has been very interesting.

A much more pleasant way to see what is on each of the BBC channels on a new TV-guide.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet - the BBC beta homepage is now out of beta, ie it's the new homepage.

There is an article that explains that the blogs module has gone as you can follow them via the Topic Tracker by entering the author. Unfortunately the authors of the BBC Internet Blog, and the Editors, two blogs that I was most interested in, are not able in the Topic Tracker.

There's still something about the new homepage that I don't like, but I can't put my finger on it. I hope they roll out the new global visual language sooner rather than later, albeit with some tweaks to the style that they introduced on the Doctor Who site.

Just noticed that the World Cup pages have been launched on BBC Sport, with the introduction of horizontal navigation at the top. Did I recall seeing somewhere that the sport-wide redesign was to happen in May?

The blog post on it suggested that it'll go to CSS positioning, the HTML of that page is still full of tables so it might be the new design on the old platform.

I really like the new homepage. Maybe I'm just in the minority.
