I'm sure we've seen inside her room before. I recall an episode when her window got smashed, and she was sitting in there at the time.

that was when david went on the rampage and put a few windows in, we didn't see Blanche in her room as the action stayed with David, infact we didn't see Blanche at all

No Claire put the football through the window a while back and ran off, and we saw her either in the room or pop her head out her window.

forgot about that one but we don't see in her room though

reminds me, what happened to the BIG story of Joshua being really good at football, seems to have petered into nothing

Joshua could return in the future to do a storyline on his paternity

Nice send off for Blanche tonight! Very Happy

Although I read that they were going to somehow get her voice in tonight ( mabye like they did with Frank in EE)
But unless I missed it - I didn't hear it?

Edit: That This Morning soap women , Sharon Marshall tweeted
Quote:
For those asking if Blanche's voice is heard during funeral ep - no - it's more that characters say: 'Blanche would have said xxxx'

so obviuosuly the story was a bit made up!

Lovely two episodes tonight... it actually felt like going to a funeral, whereas normally they skip over it. On another point, did anyone notice Becky inferring that she was abused by her stepdad last week?

Corrie to be broadcast in HD from Monday 31st May.

The nation’s longest running drama serial enters a new era from Monday May 31st as Coronation Street begins broadcasting in stunning high definition on ITV1 HD.

ITV has made a multi-million pound investment in the latest technical facilities at ITV STUDIOS’ Manchester base, which will allow Weatherfield’s famous cobbles to be shot and broadcast in native high definition for the first time - ahead of Coronation Street’s 50th birthday in December.

Peter Fincham, ITV’s Director of Television, Channels and Online, said: “It is fitting that, in its golden anniversary year, Coronation Street should be entering the era of high definition. It is fantastic news for ITV viewers who will be able to enjoy a better than ever experience of their favourite soap, and joins an impressive range of high definition shows available on ITV1 HD, including this summer’s World Cup.”

The Coronation Street production team has upgraded to the latest high definition equipment, including cameras, production vehicles, lighting and editing facilities. This includes a move from a standard definition tape based system to a state-of-the-art HD file based system. The exteriors of some of the sets have also been upgraded to bring them up to high definition standard.

Coronation Street is the latest ITV programme to make the move to full high definition production. An increasing amount of the ITV1 peak time schedule is being produced and broadcast in ‘native’ high definition with a huge variety of HD programming in May and June on ITV1 HD, including: The live stages of Britain’s Got Talent, The Seasons, Survival with Ray Mears, Greatest Cities of the World with Griff Rhys Jones, Lewis, Father & Son, The FA Cup Final, the UEFA Champions League Final, England’s World Cup warm-ups against Mexico and Japan, and The FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Kieran Roberts, Coronation Street Executive Producer, said: “Coronation Street is known for its wonderful writing and performances but we're also very proud of the technical expertise and excellence that goes into making the programme. Our engineers and crews have done a fantastic job in taking the show to high definition and I'm especially pleased that it's happening in the year Coronation Street celebrates being fifty years young.”

ITV1 HD launched on April 2nd and is available on all major platforms including Freesat, Freeview*, Sky HD and Virgin Media.

Wonder if the title sequence may be tweaked then - or heck, even completely reworked with a new drum and bass version of the theme! Very Happy

Let's hope they've sorted out Joe's dodgy tiling in the Platts' kitchen. Shocked
