Also worthy of note, due to the use of flash on the homepage the "more" link doesn't work properly due to flash's habit of orcing itself to the front.

Looks like they've tweaked the flash so that when the more button link is clicked/active the flash is temporarily disabled, showing just the background image. Also in the header on the Doctor Who site the 'iPlayer' link appears to be missing, compared to the version on the beta home page.

It's all well and good they've changed the menu/Flash part at the top but it now means if you click the "More..." link at the top then click "More" again to close it the Flash animation doesn't come back - just leaving the blank space. Flash only comes back if you click on part of the page afterwards

Look East has also now changed, with /lookeast pointing to http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mj5w which is for the East edition. In the featured section is a link to the west edition, which is presumably how they'll be managing regions with sub-opt-outs for when episodes are eventually stored/accessible via the iPlayer.

The new Doctor Who site is live, using the 'new look'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho

Aside from looking a horrible mess, I don't like the way the new site is trying to obliterate the standard bbc.co.uk/programmes information pages with cast and broadcast info. This: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00rs69w is supposed to the homepage for Series 5, and this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00rs6t7 is supposed to be the programme page for 'The Eleventh Hour'. The standard pages can be seen trying to appear at the bottom of the page when it loads up.

Additionally, the iPlayer link to 'The Stolen Earth' at the bottom right of each page redirects you back to the homepage, and the link 'See episodes from all Doctor Who Series' on the Series 5 homepage in fact links somewhat randomly to the programme page for 'Turn Left'. All seems rather shoddy to me.

Interesting that some of the new visual language is starting to appear in the new DW site, with the play icon and other bits and pieces. Obviously it's an early adopter, so I would expect to see some changes in the way subsequent sites are implemented. Hopefully the font size will be one thing to be addressed - it's not horrendous but does need sizing down a point or two.

Looking forward to the new new style header to be rolled out (hopefully the one on the DW site is just temporary until the new visual language seen in the BBC Internet blog is rolled out across the new homepage). The one seen here looks clunky and distracting.

Yep - the 'drawer' thingy is on that site too - http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/funandgames

If definitely appears that they're running it as a live beta, so hopefully they're seeing what kinks to iron out on a high profile site before rolling out elsewhere.

My main problem with the fonts though as that it appears to be Arial bold rather than something classier, even Gill would be better.

A rather nice new gallery too

I'm pretty sure that the About the BBC website is also at least ready for the new visual language - http://www.bbc.co.uk/aboutthebbc

The right hand column is in the same place as that on the Doctor Who site, the top horizontal menu is there, and the header font seems the same.

The headers on both sites look a bit rough and ready - but this will probably change when they add the new fonts to the CSS.

The BBC have published the list of the top level directories...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2010/03/bbc_onlines_top_level_director.html
...The list appears to have been complied a short while ago as it includes the regional news sites in the listings, though redirects aren't in the list (as the blog mentions).

Whilst browsing through URLs in on the list I noticed that http://www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow has now been relocated into the programmes section sine last Thursday. with it's blogs being archived along with most of the old website.

Just noticed a 'first'(AFAIK) on the BBC Sport Cricket site. The link to an external site for the IPL coverage sends you to ITV4.

Wonder when we'll see similar links for UEFA CL, Europa League and FA Cup matches on the site, probably never.

At long, long, last the Blogs page has gone wide - must be the last major page to have still been narrow.

EDIT: and it does look like the PM blog has changed a bit too, the headers has the same big text that's on the Doctor Who site.
