Think she went before she was pushed - they were looking for a younger model. I was surprised Amanda Parr wasn't her replacement, at least shes a journalist!

Is it just me, or is the Spotlight playing at the moment from years ago!? Looks like they had a nice studio floor back then, and temperatures of 18C.

How on earth could that have happened?

Weirdly though, they have edited this section (and rather badly too!) out of the online version. Any ideas why?

They haven't been using the sofa area much on the main weekday evening BBC Spotlight for a few weeks now: which seems something of a waste. Perhaps they want to show off the plethora of new back-projection screens in the desk area, but this is the first time I've seen it used it with the desk removed (which is surely quite a hassle for a recorded interview):

They even got Natalie to do her Sport Report from the desk on tonight's live programme:

Ian Axton, former Meridian presenter, was presenting today - has he replaced Steve Scott? Or now his deputy?

Ian Axton has been confirmed as Steve Scotts "replacement", he will cover Steve when he goes off to be a sports correspondent at ITV News

Hmmmm very interesting to see Ian presenting when I switched on tonight.

Was hoping Richard Bath might have got the job, but was impressed with Ian Axton whenever I saw him present Meridian Tonight and surprised he never became the main presenter on Meridian.

Not a familiar face to viewers in the West or South-West though.

Anyone know if The Westcountry Campaign as listed in the schedules tonight will be the same prog for ITV1 Westcountry as it is on ITV1 West and not slightly different like the 18:00 regional news?
