Didn't they end up putting the plan for the Queen Mum's death into action? ("operation Tay Bridge"?) Or was that just the funeral?
It certainly started off as breaking news but turned into an obituary programme - clearing the schedules on the BBC's then four tv channels, with special astons, idents, tribute programmes, church services, the lot.
That said, I'm not sure if even the plans for the Queen's death would trigger all of that. Perhaps Red Bee will have learned their lesson from the Queen Mum and have a more suitable ident, but I wouldn't hold my breath...
