i find the politics of the bnp distasteful.
however, i also wholly support the considered editorial position which has been explained by the bbc.
i am increasingly irritated by the over the top, childish reaction from some quarters. the bbc invited him on, he was questioned on the main issues. why can't the electorate be trusted to draw their own conclusions, which for the most part will be that the party is unfit for government.

are just silly, they impress no one.
he was "democratically" elected (ignoring the fact the turnout was so low the minor parties were bound to gain more traction)
erm. he was either democratically elected or he wasn't. unless there has been some major problem with the poll that hasn't come to light, the turnout was sufficient to return him to office.
and he can no longer complain that hippie lefty bias in the media is gagging him (although he is still spinning every last drop of venom out of the situation, claiming it was like a "mob".)
peaceful the demo may have been, but imagine the protesters had have been there for the other side. moving from behind control barriers, blocking the road and trying to gain access to the studios. i think the word mob would have been used to describe what went on outside. in my eyes, as well meaning as the people may have been, at the end of the day they were trying to prevent free speech.
in terms of what went on in the studio, given the incredible build up of countless politicians and commentators stating the obvious about their flawed policies, i really did want to hear, without constant interruption, what he had to say - and for his responses to be challenged appropriately.
perhaps in that sense, question time was never going to deliver on that score - a head to head with paxman is probably the only way to get beyond the posturing.
And now, a joke: what's the difference between Nick Griffin and Adolf Hitler? A bullet in the cranium.
the major criticisms of the bnp are that they are a hateful thuggish organisation, and yet you think its acceptable to write such infantile rubbish.
you really do know how to undermine quite a serious point.
