Apparently the last transmission from MHS will be on Friday evening, and the first from Egton will be the 0630 on Monday. Anyone know where the two weekend bulletins will be from?

I would guess the weekend news would come from Egton infront of a CSO. Surely they would want to be done and dusted with MHS on the Friday rather than continue there into the weekend. This would give them 2 days to settle in to Egton then in time for Monday.

from the National news set/presenters?
Cos that would work...
It would.
No real switching involved, just keep the bulletin going from the nationals, make sure all other regions are clear and change it to BBC London style branding
They'll probably just do the Saturday and Sunday bulletins from MHS, with Friday night as the last full programme. The Politics Show doesn't come from MHS.
There's no real reason why they can't, it's not as if there's much to move over the weekend. They're moving into a brand new facility and most of the back end equipment at MHS is obsolete and not needed. Unlike when other regions have moved (Birmingham for example) there's no major engineering work to divert lines etc
When they moved
to
MHS the last bulletin (Newsroom South East then of course) was on sunday night . The only issue then was that they couldn't opt themselves out over the weekend as the opt panel had to be physically moved from one gallery to the other. This isn't an issue this time as they don't need to opt out these days (in 2001 UK Today was the sustaining service) - they're effectively just a studio source
