BBC London News will be moving to BH next week according to the radio station's Twitter. BBC London 94.9 moved across this afternoon.

The last programme was Tuesday afternoon's Danny Baker apparently. He gave it a nice send off with some great music from his GLR days (it's on the iPlayer)

Vanessa Feltz was the last show today, they did a handover chat with Simon Lederman who was covering for Robert Elms for some reason for today. Jason Rosam did the last Marylebone news at midday and at 12.05 all output was switched to BH.

It was annoying as presenters gave conflicting information, Big George claimed him and Jonathan Lampon were the last presenters from MHS yesterday night, but then they carried on with Breakfast and Vanessa this morning.

Interesting, I thought most programmes (and the news/travel) had moved over already, apparently Eddie Nestor has been coming from BH for a while. I think I prefer Danny's send off, especially as the Vanessa/Lederman handover was a bit of a technical disaster!

The end of an era, I'm sure all the guys there will miss being in Marylebone High Street, the area around BH isn't as trendy! Some photos of the new studios: http://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.5175

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but i'm surprised no one has caught the new BBC London branding that's creeping in...

It's a custom tweak of the regional news branding to be applied to the radio station. Odd how London never conforms with the rest of the regional network with branding and the like.

It's going on anything to do with BBC London... bar the TV bulletins of course... You can just about make out the place names around the rings.

Oh right. I was expecting something a bit more big than that really.

I flicked onto BBC Breakfast TV this morning around 830 expecting to see the local West Midlands bulletin, but looks like someone forgot to press the button at the Mailbox & we got BBC London instead.

(Before any smart arse asks, I did check & the SKY EPG did show BBC West Midlands)

Was that Vanessa Feltz?

God almighty.

Nice to hear 'Cockney The Dwarf' (as Mr Lederman was described on air by one of his former Brum colleagues) is still about!

It was indeed. That bit used to be done live, but is now recorded since 94.9 has moved out of MHS.

So does anyone know what BBC London TV News will look like come tomorrow? Is it going to be a newsroom based set or a studio?

But nevertheless can you shed any light on what the new studio will be like?
