A bit OT, but an unusual error at the moment on RTÉ One with two DOGs on the screen. I'm watching through UPC analogue, and it has happened at the beginning of each part of
The Panel
. After a short while on both occasions, the larger of the DOGs has been removed. At the beginning of the programme, two separate content advisers appeared underneath each DOG, one reading 'PS', the other 'MA'.

What does people think of Vincent Browne's programme. How are the ratings? I have to say, it really was lucky in terms of the timing of the programme. They always have something to discuss every night. He could maybe have better guests from the government side, that's the only thing I noticed.

Two minds about it. Firstly, its good that TV3 has a heavyweight news programme, in a schedule which is generally light on the old public service content.
However I do have concerns about the way Browne presents it. Without wanting to break any libel laws, his style of presentation gives me some cause for concern sometimes.

Yes its much improved - much longer hold at the end which gives them time to dissolve into the endboard properly. Very nice. The opening titles seem to have a longer strings hold at the end - makes the titles/opening wide flow much better.

Some tweaks to the RTE News stings and closing signature tune this week.

The Nine O'Clock News started with no sound tonight. After c. one minute, Presentation cut to a holding slide; the announcer apologised for the fault. We then had a rundown of Saturday evening's line-up before returning to the programme, from the top.
