CNN International & Domestic

I live in Dubai, UAE, and am a regular watcher of CNN. The "dial tones" are not heard there. However, whenever I travel to Asia (Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong, Thailand - where I am right now), those tones are audible.

I have also noted that they are audible when CNN appears to be played out on specific channels which also carry that channel's logo watermark on the screen. Right now, CNNI is being played out on TRUE channel, which I think is Malaysian based.

I never heard them either.

At 1800 CET CNN aired Martin Luther King's speech in it's entirety.

Yes, I've heard them on SABC who broadcast certain CNN programmes terrestrially

This seems to have been part of CNN's playout for as long as it's been around, if the first 10s of this blooper reel is anything to go by.

Does anyone have any idea what time CNN on Freeview will be on air today?

That's ridiculous! The biggest day of any year for CNN and they can't get on any earlier!! Madness. Mediaguardian made a big thing about CNN being on air 'Just in time for the Inauguration'.

Not rediculous at all, they're not going to compensate the other space holders. CNN is available online should you want, with an optional facebook application as well.....

CNN.com is not showing CNN Domestic, no point.

Err - CNN don't really have any choice if the Freeview bandwith is being used by someone else at other times. It isn't as if they can say "Oi - big news day - we're bumping you off"... If other broadcasters have bought the space at other times of day - CNN have no say in the matter...
