A place holder for Discovery's new Freeview channel Quest has appeared on channel 47, which seems rather low down the EPG. I'd assumed it would replace Price Drop TV on 24.
Also anyone know when CNN International is replacing Nuts TV?

That's not how LCN allocation works on Freeview, if you buy broadcast space you can't just take the LCN of the channel that used to broadcast in that space, all ther other channels that were on Freeview before Quest have better claim to it (i.e. channels currently on LCN 25-46) unless the channel being is being replaced by another channel owned by the same company. You don't buy the channel number, just the spectrum to broadcast (or something like that).
So Virgin/Sit Up own the LCN, not ITV/SDN. So little chance of ITV4 getting pushed up to 24 then!
There were murmurings of a much needed Freeview EPG tweak coming soon, but if they make the same mistake as last time - i.e. not moving the Shopping Channels and Top Up TV Channels out of the EPG, it would be rather pointless.

Does it
really
matter?
People spend a few days, maybe even weeks, on EPG 'discovery' when moving to a platform, and after that they know where exactly to go to for the few channels they actually want. By that point it barely matters whether shopping channels are at 1 or 999.

Virgin don't own it either, they were allocated it, but now it is available, so ITV4 could now move into that position as they are the next in the EPG, but I think they'd have to wait for an EPG reshuffle.

So Nuts TV didn't work out then?
Will be nice to get an alternative news channel to BBC News 24 & Sky News
CNN would be the only one with an international perspective too. From what I have seen of BBC World it's nice to get a different view on things sometimes so I would certainly welcome it
