No Wes isnt on hols at the moment but when he is away one of the sports presenters just steps up.

What made an STV viewer concerned about the south all of a sudden?

Cringe making chat about dogs yesterday I thought just before the weather, they are just as daft as each other they could be married !

I find Sangeeta (Meridian SE) giving out The People's Millions cheques cringe worthy.

She's a very good newsreader don't get me wrong but shes terrible at small chat.

She's just a little bit over the top but you have to make allowences most single people are a bit intense / loopy etc

Dreadful time wasting all that which should be used for real news oh and chat's with Germma of course !

I have just seen a report on the BBC News Channel by Richard Slee, who is (or was) a Meridian reporter...

I guess he is just one of many soon to be leaving, maybe he took voluntary redundancy & was lucky enough to get a job at the beeb...

I last saw him reporting live for Meridian Tonight from Weymouth a couple of weeks ago, so he must have recently left. Does anyone know of any other Meridian staff who are to be leaving??

Richard Slee is freelance, but a very good reporter. I'm sure you will see him in a few different places. Great chap as well.

Oh, I didn't know that. I have only ever seen him on Meridian & he's normally doing a report on the news most days.

I find it odd that we have had news from most of the other regions about who is going, but have heard nothing about Meridian yet? Surely though they could never get rid of Fred... even though I guess he must be on the biggest salary??
