Manisha has been doing World News Asia last 3 days, from 1300 - 1500 CET.

I hope they will have CNN Today with 2 anchors again when Kristie comes back in January.

BTW, they will also have that Australian anchor Ana Coren coming soon to HK.

Just watched WNA, Ginnyfan. Manisha seems different somehow. Her speech is not quite how I recall her at BBC World. Perhaps she has a bad cold, like me!

Can't quite put my finger on it.

As mentioned above, Hong Kong now has a whole bundle of presenters now. I wish also they would re-introduce the dual presentation style.

Yes, she is different in a good way. It was the same with Adrian, when he came to CNN he showed that besides beeing a great anchor he also has a great personality.
I have a feeling anchors feel more relaxed on CNN, although BBC is going in that direction lately with 2 anchors, but it looks more natural on CNN.

I have to say that CNN Today HK with Hugh and Kristie is one of the best breakfast news shows going (which is odd or me as I live in GMT land where 8am HK is 11pm the night before in GMT) there is a great rapport between those 2 and Mari Ramos on the weather. Shame she moved. That used to be my fave program on CNN.

Coming from a person who has never seen her do a compete bulletin.
She isn't that bad when she is presenting hard news.
She was not that good while presenting Today Tonight Australia's tabloid shonky builder, child support cheating father style show. She always presented the show as like she was Shep Smith.
Here's a video of her before the TT mess

CNN is awful. Its anchors are cringing, including all the relief Atlanta presenters, the lady with the sock in her mouth, and wll someone calm Becky Anderson down.. far too enthusistsic, your just reading the news lady. Its reporters are awul, probably with the exception of Amanpour, otherwise their cringing. There reporting/reports are bad, unless they are taken from ITN/ITV/Channel 4 UK. Breaks every few minutes are irritating, the graphics package is better than the BBC , but its let down by there awful sets. My goodness ITV (!!) News editions are more insightful and international than an hour of CNN Shocked

Another awful presenter for CNN.

I don't think you're being entirely fair here. Robin Oakley, John King, Jim Bittermann, Jill Dougherty, Candy Crowley, Ben Wedeman, Nic Robertson, Frank Sesno, Brent Sadler, Brian Todd and several others are world-class, widely respected reporters.

Yes I can agree with Robin Oakley, but that's hardly surprising he's also ex-BBC. CNN is mostly balls though, certainly not a serious new organization. Ginny mo another insufferable reporter, and again covers a non newsworthy item. The segments are of only interest when they carry reports from ITN or in the unlikely event when they send one of there few decent reporters for coverage. Dreadful stuff overall.

Jeany Moos only does those funny reports, never serious stuff, it is expected from her.
Unlike some other news channels, besides having great, respected anchors and reporters from all around the world, CNN also has a sense of humour. Cool
