Brucie would be wise to bail after this series before it gets too ridiculous (Extending Big Brother for example was a mistake IMO).

On a side note, did they fix the opening title mistakes in this evenings repeat?

It's finally on iPlayer, and yes, they HAVE removed both of the pesky extra Es.

Am glad SCD is back. Both Saturday and Sunday shows are a relief from the dross X Factor has on.

Nothing changes with X Factor, stupid bickering between the judges, sob stories from contestants and the usual fact that the final 12 are awful and it is a pick of the not so bad from the awful. One hit at Christmas and you will not hear from them for ages.

They try to have the glitz and glamour that SCD has but they can't seem to do it. SCD with the band, the costumes and the feel good factor is what you need for a Saturday night and especially what you need for Sunday nights.

Notice that many said the Sunday results show would not do well, it has, at least there is something on a Sunday night than the usual sleep inducing Heartbeat, Royal on ITV1.

And now Mr Cowell has his way and there is a Sunday edition of X Factor this week. Didn't he beg ITV1 to have X Factor results show on a Sunday and they turned him down?

Shows SCD was right, if Mr Cowell wants to follow their example.

Isnt't the move of The X Factor results to Sunday an attempt to avoid a direct clash with Strictly on Saturday?

Actually it was the other way round. ITV wanted a Sunday results show but wouldn't do it live. So Cowel said no.

I agree though SCD is the better of the two. It has the X Factor that ironically The X Factor is lacking. Rolling Eyes

No argument The X Factor has turned to dross, but really Strictly seems to be the bitchiest show on TV, made even more bitchy by the fake smiles they all have injected into them on Saturday nights.

Political broadcaster John Sergeant has quit hit BBC One dance contest 'Strictly Come Dancing' amid harsh criticism from judge Arlene Phillips, and a string of low scores.

Sergeant has routinely polled lowest in the judges' vote on the show, but has been saved by the voting public every week.

According to BBC News, Sergeant will dance a farewell routine on Saturday, but what will happen to the public vote? Will there be a need for a Sunday show?

It's all one huge publicity stunt, for nothing more than an entertainment show.
It's of no importance. I spotted at lunch time a 'BREAKING NEWS' banner on the BBC News channel. More media self-obsession.

But John didn't have to leave, he chose to. He should have been voted out weeks ago but he kept staying in while better dancers were voted off. It'll probably do wonders in the ratings for the show on Saturday and It Takes Two tonight.

How/ why/ how did it make the first 15 minutes of the BBC News at One, including a full length report from Lizo Mazimba and a good few minutes of Bruce Forsyth?

It will be interesting to see what they do - will they replace him or count his departure as this month's departure?

Oh dear, well just imagine if he was still Political editor...

"And the Breaking News is that John Sergeant quits Strictly Come Dancing. Well we now cross over to our Political Editor John Sergeant for more reaction to this shock decision.."
