I preferred Thursdays are Funny, myself, but I certainly think it needs something to associate it with comedy.
Genuinely funny programmes would help!! Ever since BBC1 raided BBC2 for Have I Got News For You, The Office and other hits along with other successful BBC2 shows ending like Shooting Stars, Bottom, The Fast Show, Red Dwarf etc BBC2 hasn't had a really popular comedy strand because they haven't had the two big shows to put together.

They've been fortunate enough to have Mock the Week and some gems like The Peter Serafinowicz Show and Dead Ringers , but they need to be able to string at least two of these together.

The Peter Serafinowicz Show absolutely tanked in the ratings, however

Brilliant. Something mildly funny won't be commissioned again then.

Swinging discussion back onto endboards if I may, I see a new dark green endboard is being used in the Dragons' Den trail. Not as easy on the eye as the standard teal but a nice bit of variety all the same.

Culture Show just broke pretty much every rule about " ECP-friendly" end credit promotion there (horizontal scroller, with <20px text, over editorially important content with accompanying sound. I'm not even sure it kept to 30s). Very Happy

That's how the Culture Show's always done it, though. They usually end with some music and they've always used the scroller for that.

How'd they get away with that?

It's like how "Issues" are actually problems, and "Problems" are absolute catastrophes. A "Guideline" has become the euphemistic and circumlocutional substitute for "Rule."

Pre-window on the world style endboard, ie no endboard at all, in the new House of Saddam trail. And it uses a black box Confused

Blur-out the 'BBC TWO' text in the black box and almost everyone would surely mistake the endboard as being for a BBC Four programme - so it's not a wise approach, IMHO...

I have no problem with them using a different coloured box if the teal would clash (like the 'Thursdays' menus where a white box is used) but when a different colour is used for no apparent reason it weakens the brand and causes confusion between other channels as you say.
