Hahah, oh blimey that vision/genres page is odd. Interesting to see all the styles of box they can have on the genre pages, but odd all the same.

WHAT?! An advert on a bbc.co.uk page being served to a visitor in the UK? Someone call the police.

There looks to be a relatively similar style between 1xtra, 6music and Radio 2, but nothing down to the pixel: just basic similarities with placement. Especially with the massive gaps on the left on the page.

I do wonder about Radio 1's future site though, they've got many more menu options than would look good as a top nav. I guess they'll cut some bits of have a bit of a side menu as well.
Edit: I take that back, they've actually got less than 1xtra's top menu... but I get the feeling it may look clustered without clear divisions of what the links are for.

Does anyone know when the new Radio 1 site is due to launch?

I'm told it's temporary. Apparently, the header is due to be reduced.

Not quite, but you will see a few more changes over the coming week(s)...

Look out Wednesday ...

I notice they still all have ghastly HTML however. I presume this is due to the limits of the old CMS used for BBC News?

has this been mentioned yet?

Never have I seen this before - an ADVERT on the BBC website! I can't believe I pay dozens of pound coins to see adverts. However I refreshed the page and it was gone.

That'd probly be an accident: they use GeoIP to only show ads to users outside the UK.

I like the "two grinning blokes" bit.

Why does Click seem to hold a permanent position on the iP homepage?
