Looks like they're going to be using the box logo at the end of the bulletins, when there's no handover to the regions.

Has the desk been moved more to the right or have the right since they first moved or is that how it has always been? I'm not sure I like the empty chairs being on show - looks less tidy. I am surprised they continue to use separate presenters for the early and late evening Weekend Bulletins. Both Peter Sissons along with either Chris Lowe or Sophie Long are perfectly capable of presenting the bulletins and would be more cohesive for the News channel. Peter Sissons it could be argued would be better than handling his rolling news slot.

Haven't seen it so wouldn't know for sure, but my guess would be the actual report had already been done on the News Channel (on that LHS wall), so they put the reporter there to talk to Sian "live" and then switched to the recorded report rather than doing it again.
You've got the right idea, only it was done the other way round. Later in the evening on the News Channel, Chris Lowe introduced the report looking (awkwardly) to his right, as if the reporter was standing in the studio.
Alastair Yates was always ahead of the game with this and would often do the same on News 24 handing over to the sports presenter at 1:30am when infact it was a prerecord from earlier on. It can work quite well if the main presenter is comfortable with it.

I am wondering why they had this 'stand-up' report from next to the desk on the Six tonight. Obviously there was nothing cluttering the other half of TC7 as the weather was presented from there.....

I'm surprised no one's noticed nor mentioned the fact the afternoon summary is no more....
(if they have, I apologies, there's about 10 threads it can fall into!)
