Even Five "News" with Natasha (as it was introduced today by the announcer) didnt lead on this story at 5PM Laughing

I've just watched the 6 - it's not just me that's hearing one of those students say "****", is it?

Yes you did, however they showed the same footage in the headlines on the One O Clock news and it was strangely absent ...

I personally feel the coverage today was overdone, although I suppose it hasn't been a particularly busy newsday. The earthquake was much less dramatic than the Six made out - I live in Nottingham so not far from the epicentre, yet contrary to the Six reports no one I saw today had the 'life frightened out of them', indeed several somehow managed to sleep through it!

Someone speaking to Radio 1's Newsbeat said it was like a ghost train coming through their house Laughing

Makes a change from the usual agenda I guess. Have to admit its not very often that an Earthquake of such a scale hits the UK.

Oh bloody hell! I survived the Folkestone quake. It wasn't that bad last night i know. Seeing as there is about the same amount of carnage.
Get a grip. You'll get bored talking about it in a day or 2.

Agreed, and that involved just a few chimney stacks collapsing - made more dramatic than it was.

Why is the title of the thread England Earthquake? Wasn't it felt in Wales and Co. Down in Northern Ireland?

A viewer comment just read out on News 24:

"...maybe someday in the future parts of the UK will be like San Francisco!"

Moron. Why is time devoted to reading out crap like this?
