Some points:
Stuart's voice is too quiet for the music. You need to remix it so the music fades slightly when voiceovered.
I don't think people in Shropshire and South Staffordshire would be too happy about being refered to as in the Black Country. Am I right to assume this would be an opt-out transmitted from the Wrekin (if an existing transmitter were used)?
You spelt Brierley Hill and Sedgley incorrectly in your WM ident.
I dont agree with fading music down for voiceovers, I think the voiceover should be played louder and the music quieter ALL THE TIME, not just when they talk - my opinion..
well it was only a joke mock - unfortunately stuart seems to have misplaced his proffesional commercial quality voiceover microphone, studio and recording equiptment in his house, so we had to make do with a dodgy computer mic. *rolls eyes*
the mock was to celebrate stu's yam yam voice and the phenomenon that is the black country. with regard sound problems - it was copying the technical 'standards' employed by pebble mill on a regular basis - if you found it hard to hear, then we have succeeded.
at the bit where stu says "wolverhampton",the levels are right (as i set them after looking at a waveform of the bbc one midlands ident. but to go through the v/o file and alter the amplitude at different points in order to make the voice constant would only make the defects in it worse - so it was left as-was.
as to the black country bit - well there isnt really a name for shropshire, e staffs and the black country. the royal mail call it "north west midlands" but being as the only significant urban areas in the region would be the black country and shrewsbury and telford - and given the fact the opt would be based at the bbc wolverhampton broomcupboard, i think they'd get away with it.

well i hadnt counted on anyone feeling the need to double check all the place names. im a regular visitor to the black country, but thankfully i do not live there - so i am excused on this occasion.
