i wonder why there is a bias towards West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire and why the north is nearly never mentioned

Possibly because most people in North Yorks pick up Tyne-Tees (given the location of Bilsdale); I'm not sure how far into North Yorks the Emley relays spread?

Hull were a bit late getting on air tonight! A good few minutes of BBC London News!

Well it looks like Look North Leeds overstretched themselves there

The late bulletin was presented by Ian White AND Christa Ackroyd

But it looked like Christa didn't have autocue, captions were all over the shop, one of those uncomfortable situations where there is someone on the phone but no slide put up, so Christa was left to just sit there listening in vision.

VT's were also late running and ironically the weather wouldn't play so there was no forecast!

Still they made a good fist of it despite the problems, I didn't see the need for two presenters though.

Been listening to Radio Sheffield who seem to be doing a good job through the night.

Scary warnings about the risk of a dam collapsing at Ulley Reservoir.

Lincs FM were good today. They were the only people reporting the potential that Lincoln city centre could be flooded and that flood plains had been opened to try and stop it.

Clare F presenting a "special edition" of LN tonight with somebody else, to do with the flooding.

She was on Brekkie duty today too - long day!

They might as well have done one edition of Calendar tonight as both versions are reporting on the South Yorkshire floods but just running the reports and the 'lives' in a different order

Christine is live right by the side of the Ulley Reservoir but obviously only on the West version of the programme.

Of course no power in Shuttleworth House in Lincoln means the Lincoln Central analogue relay, which confusingly broadcasts East Midlands Today with Calendar East, is off-air.

I didn't see any evidence of Clare? Unless she was sat in the studio waiting for the OBs to go down?

A brief mention on CNE today about Lincoln, that block of flats by Brayford Flyover was evacuated I believe? The River Witham and Fossdyke looked very swollen too. Tornadoes across Lincolnshire again, least we've lost the lightning with the northern air-flow.
