Here is my suggested News 24 schedule (all times UK):

WEEKDAYS
0500-0600 World News Today (Siam) (1)
0600-0630 BBC News (Kate) (2)
0630-0930 Breakfast (Dermot and Louise)
0930-1200 BBC News (Kate and Simon)
1200-1300 World News Today (George) (1)
1300-1600 BBC News (Matthew and Sophie) (2)
1600-1845 BBC News (George and Natasha) (2)
1845-1900 Sportsday
1900-2000 World News Today (Zeinab) (1)
2000-2200 BBC News (Jon and Jane)
2200-2230 BBC News (Huw) (2)
2230-2300 World Business Report
2300-0100 BBC News (Joanne and Ben)
0100-0500 overnight BBC News bulletins (Alastair, Martine or Karin) (3) and other programmes at the half-hour

notes:
(1) World News Today is produced by and simulcast on BBC World and could include a few minutes of World Business Report
(2) The entire 6.00 and 22.00 bulletin is to be commissioned as a BBC National News Bulletin (those that you see on BBC1). The first half hour of the 13.00 and 18.00 hour will also be commissioned as a BBC National News Bulletin. These will be produced by BBC News 24, come out of the BBC News 24 main studio and to viewers on BBC News 24, these bulletins won't be much different from what one sees in the first half hour of a BBC News 24 bulletin. But to allow a smooth entry and exit of viewers from BBC1, more stings will be used and presenters will say something like "It's 1 o'clock the headlines on BBC News. (then the headlines)" Viewers on BBC1 get the opening titles based on the hour (6am, 1, 6pm, 10) while those on News 24 will get the standard News 24 opening title.

As in Siam Williams. You can suggest another presenter if you wish.

On second thought, I think the 5.00 WNT slot should feature World's Jonathan Charles.

Do we really need these fantasy schedules clogging up the forum*

*Previous comment edited - It was a bit harsh. Apologies.

Sorry, but the forum doesn't need these fantasy schedules. I'm getting bloody sick of them. OK, the previous comment may have been harsh, but I'm sure that some people agree with me.

Why do you have to be so rude to the user? If he's enthuastic about news schedules then let him be. It's a tv news discussion board and there's no rule preventing it - take it up with a moderator or admin. You don't actually get forced to open such threads.
