I've noticed that they're getting more ads now. Their revenues were probably pretty pinched to start with because I understand there was pressure being put on potential advertisers not to advertise with them.

They seem to be showing more ads now than a few months ago, and having longer ad breaks.

And did anyone else mention that Everton Fox has popped up doing the weather?

These two differences struck me after I hadn't watched it for a while.

I've noticed that they've now got the LIVE dog up when presenters start the programme. After the first report it goes off.

They've finally changed the London backdrop. They've been using the night version one when its not really dark at 9-10ish. Tonight there using the daytime backdrop.

Some recent management changes too:

A board of management has been appointed by the Qatari sheikh or emir or whatever he's called. But it doesn't include one of the current top management Wadah Khanfar. But it does include a former Qatari ambassador to the US.

Also, apparently Chris Cremer the former head of CNN is due to AJE.

I notice Barbara Serra is presenting from Doha today, isn't she a London presenter?

They seem to get juggled around. Nick Clarke was in Doha, also, about a month ago, and then came back to England. Seems a little random, there's a surplus of presenters.
Are AJE studios at the 1 Knightsbridge offices? It's just, I had a friend who worked in these offices, and I used to visit him, and they don't really seem as thought they could accomodate a studio and newsroom.

More likely that they have the right number of presenters, it's just that they all like to go on holiday now and again!

AIUI studio is in Knightsbridge - in a basement I believe? (May be wrong on basement bit)

Suspect they are using London presenters to cover Doha presenters holiday etc.
