CNN US

Now i designed these while i was away, hence the news story thats on the mock. Its based on the CNN look for breaking news, and devloping story.

Wouldn't work - American graphics like to be OTT and like to be 3D on every single bloody element.

Nice but a bit flat for use on an American network - think big, bold, in your face, can see it from the other end of the house. Not quite sure what sort of channel over here it could work on - could work on a quiz channel I suppose with obvious alterations.

I do like the "developing story phrase", but i think there needs to be more identity.

I agree with that.. Apart from the background, there isn't actually a logo anywhere (which isn't to say I'm against not having DOGs, but it would seem that'd be a neccessary good for the US).

Not true. Several stations (WBZ, WBBM, KTLA, and many others) stay away from over-the-top graphics. That's a hasty generalization. I'm not certain how many US residents post here, but I live a market that has at least 2 stations that do not have OTT graphics. I digress it's overly common.

However, I'll agree that several of our networks (FOX, primarily) take it too far.

These graphics are nice, but it's a little bland.

i dont know why but i think it could work for SKY NEWS. No idea why but anything is better than its current on-screen look.

I could be wrong but I think he meant Sky News' had signed up Jamesh to produce their current graphics. Wonder what he meant be that...
