I think they should scrap the brand. It's a pain in the arse when I want to watch something on BBC Two, but all I have is freeview, and some welsh culture show is on 2W, so I have to put my ariel in my TV for analogue, and watch Dragon's Den with a really **** **** picture. They seem to think that because we are Welsh, we would rather watch shows that are all about Wales.
By the sounds of it 2W has dropped its own idents; can someone try and explain to me what the point of the brand is now? Surely it would be a lot easier just to call the brand BBC2 Wales all day so there would be no need to produce special trails/idents with two different boxes, wouldnt it?
They could always produce their own 2 windows, showing wales through it, and perhaps come up with their own 2W logo/symbol, to use as the window Cutout...
Now that is a nice idea, and I like the concept of a unique '2W' symbol. It would help to separate the 2W brand from BBC Two. Not too much, but just enough.

Well after a few days these idents are growing on me and do look alright though nothing spectacular. My major gripe is the positioning of the box as I still think it's too high on the idents. I'm also not a fan of this Next slug and I hope it doesn't last long as it just obscures the picture and the same information could quite easily be said over the credits.
As for Sunroof - I believe the first airing was at 17.20 on Sunday ahead of The Super League Show in the north. There was no location added to the box though the announcer did acknowledge that it was just the north.
BBC TWO NI veiwers were treated to a slide earlier. It was an Engineering Information slide and was part of the Seascape package with a mostly 'deep aqua' screen with a portion of the '2' cut away to reveal 'seascape'.
