John Paul used to be married to Tina's UTV colleague, Pamela Ballantine. She's a good friend to them both and was a guest at one of their wedding celebrations. Tina and John Paul were married in Antigua, in a small ceremony, followed by a bigger party at the Crawfordsburn Inn back home for extended family and friends.

"Pamela was there, welcoming everybody at the door, in true Pamela style. We have the best relationship," she says of her colleague. " When Ben was born, Pamela took one look at him and said 'You wouldn't half know who he belongs to', because he looks so like his dad."

Nowhere does that suggest that Tina and Pamela don't get on, quite the opposite. Pamela was long divorced before John Paul married Tina. And I have seen them on screen many times over the years.

Having watched the new titles when UTV News scrolls across the screen it doesn't get to the end and cuts off halfway through the "s".

And I'm sorry but that sofa is vile. Its the colour of baby poo.

Hehe.Its a bit lazy that they havent changed the music of the opening titles.I prefer the old look

Oooh... those look nice. Except for that god-awful lens flare.

I also don't like the lens flare effect, and the promotion given to UTV Live and U105 is a bit OTT - but nice to see UTV bringing Insight back into the UTV News branding - must be the touch of the new editor and production team.

Bet they still don't have end credits to tell us who these people are... I still wish UTV ran end credits on their programmes (apart from UTV Live/UTV News) so we can put a name (or the blame) to the people involved

Surely there are legal consraints involved in all this cross promotion? I can just about take the nod to the news updates on U105, but Frank Mitchell promoting his own U105 morning show during the 2250 weather forecast is a bit much!

Quick question, who produces the Party Election Broadcasts? Obviously it is not the BBC or UTV because the same ones are shown on both channels but does one company make all of them? Or do the respective parties make their own?

Each party employs a production company of their choice to make their PEB.
