BBC News Mix

As the regions are due for a relaunch in the near future, I thought I'd have a go. Based on the Spotlight titles and the latest BBC News titles. Here's the title endcap, an example of how the images from the region would be displayed and an aston.

BBC News Today would replace Breakfast on weekends. The titles comprise of the new data streams and globe, but in a different style. The breakfast "squares" are kept below the test.

As BBC world has been given a new countdown, I thought I'd have a go for News 24. Not that good but gave it a shot!

I'll start with the bad. The music mixes are terrible. There's a bit in the countdown at around 40s that sounds rather good but everything else is bad. On the plus side, the graphics aren't bad at all with the BBC News Today titles being the best effort.

The music is awful, can't really say anything better about it I'm afraid, although I do like your designs.

I do like the idea of BBC Today at the weekends. Makes more sense than using the Breakfast titles from the News24 studios.

However, I am not keen on the regional look. Colour possibly but that's about it.

The regions are ok but better colours needed

Sorry, I dislike the regions designs. There's nothing to really tell you that it's distinctly 'local'. Maybe you could try a flying map (a la the 99-03 corporate titles) and brighten up the colours a little.

This music would be fine if it was in time with eachother. It's just the way it's playing, then suddenly another bit hits in out of beat, then another. It's quite terrible, but I think it would sound nice cleaned up a bit.

The on screen stuff really suits the new design but the music is horrendus...

Haven't bothered to listen to the music, but the designs are great - especially the first two images. Can really imagine them being used.
