Phil Brewster broke the news of his death to central England viewers on tonight's Central News. He worked for years as a Derbyshire reporter at ATV Today and Central News in the 80s, before moving to ITN.
I expect ITV News to have special tributes to him as well, later.

John Suchet, Mark Austin and Sir Trevor McDonald looked very sad on the Evening News tonight. There will no doubt be more about him on News at Nine and tomorrow.

Yes they did and Ferlicty looked very sad on the ITV News Channel

Er, I think it's called reiterating, to follow on from what you said. If you have a problem take it to another thread, but please not this one.

Condolences to the family and friends of Terry Lloyd. Especially his family, him and his brother in the space of a few years. Also prayers go out to the other two men from his crew who are still missing.

Alistair Stewart just ad-libbed his own moving tribute to Terry Lloyd just then on the ITV News Channel saying that Terry was one of the first to welcome him back to ITN when he came back to work on the ITV NC after 15 years Sad

Under what circumstances was Terry's body shown on al Jazeera? How was it available to be seen? That's quite frightful.

.

I really don't know if they did show it or not but I have to say that Al-Jazeera have been showing lots of pictures of the dead bodies of who they say are American troops (and they certainly look like they could be) ... they are also repeating them a lot. Not sure if AJ is still available on Sky but you certainly wouldn't find any British broadcaster showing the pictures I've been watching on the feed today.

ITV News made a point of not showing them.

Why don't the TV stations broadcast images of this kind? It may bring home to people what is being done in their name. They have no such qualms with holywood gore so why hold back when it's the real thing

Because with the real thing there are real families who have real feelings.
