First thing they need to do is get rid of Jake Humprey and stick her on football focus, and also use her as the 3rd/4th choice football presenter rather than getting a random face from 5 Live.
Jake is filling in for Manish Bhasin while he covers the ashes but i agree Gabby would be good on FF, ironic as she used to do 'On the Ball' for ITV.

well, that wouldn't be ironic, just logical.
not surprised she's gone to the BBC, where she'll have so many more opportunities on other sports, 5Live etc as well as this new show. I hope ITV don't end up regretting it.
I'm sure she'll feature during major live events like the Olympics, but in the short term the only thing I could see her doing is the Six Nations, booting out either Craig Doyle or Jill Douglas.
When 'The One Show' returns, will Adrian Chiles be doing The One Show, Working Lunch AND Match of the Day 2 all at the same time?
If not, there could be a vacancy for Gabby on MOTD2.
But Steve Rider really does have a monopoly at ITV Sport now - after one year he's the main anchor of live football, Formula One, and undoubtedly will be for the Rugby World Cup and the Boat Race.

I would think that Chiles will cut down his Working Lunch commitments, as for MOTD2 i thought Ray Stubbs did a good job the other week(and on the regular MOTD). I hope he doesnt get overlooked after being lumbered with Score on BBCi
Football isn't the lacking department though - they have been hit hard by the departure of Steve Rider.
John Inverdale is the natural replacement as all round sports man, but they seem reluctant to give him the profile he deserves, as evident by giving Adrian Chiles the third presenter role on Sports Personality.
They've got plenty of women but they need a few strong multi-sport male anchors. With John Inverdale tied up with the Six Nations, there was a real lack of male presence at the Winter Olympics and Commonwealth Games last year - and I think only Ray Stubbs has the potential to fill that role.
i read in the paper the other day that they said Gabby Logan could be in line to be the first woman to present Match Of The Day.... surely Celina Hinchcliffe already has?? Im sure I saw her doing MOTD - Ladies World Cup.......
They are really scrapping the barrel with Cup games here then - Tamworth vs Norwich!
I know they use the excuse it could be an upset, but it's not really worth it and arguably devalues the MOTD brand!
Liverpool vs Arsenal and Man Utd vs Villa are the sort of games you expect to see as part of the MOTD deal - the third is just a waste of our money really and the BBC would be better off selling on the rights to someone else!
And as I said last year, it seems stupid that in these FA Cup weekends that Football Focus is dropped due to the live early afternoon match.

Isn't it the BBC's job to provide a showcase and a platform for the lower league teams ? Of any of the broadcasters, the BBC should be prepared to show some of the comercially less attractive games. They are showing 2 of the biggest games anyway, I don't see the problem.
Checkout the terms of the FA Cup deal that was agreed between the FA and the BBC/BSkyB.
I assume that the Tamworth v Norwich game is the No.4 choice and has been chosen specifically because of it's 'upset' possibilities.
