According to Caroline Wyatt on N24 they [the ITN crew] were not an embedded crew and were 'doing their own thing' which is much more dangerous than being with the military

ITN has said a crew reporting for ITV News is "missing" after coming under fire en route to the city of Basra in southern Iraq.

Correspondent Terry Lloyd, his cameraman Fred Nerac and translator Hussein Othman have not been seen since the incident near Iman Anas.

The news organisation says efforts are underway now to locate them.

Yes - though it is the only way to get true, un-hindered eyewitness reports I guess.

Aren't the US military on record as saying that they will shoot first and ask questions later when it comes to independent, non-embedded journalists they encounter in attack situations?

I am not for one minute suggesting this attack was by US forces in this case though - I have yet to see reports attributing the fire from one side or another.

Where could I get a copy of it?

Seems to have been an Australian journo, killed by a some kind of suicide bomb.
