Brand new promos are aired but still nothing more than promos.

What more could they transmit before they launch?

Anyone got a copy of the new promo?

Do we know the exact date of the launch?

I think a better question is do THEY know the exact date of launch - it has been deferred and delayed a number of times...

According to this article from the New York Post, the channel is still aiming for a November launch. I know it that it only makes reference to the US in the story, but I infer from the quotes that it's a worldwide launch date.

The London studios are more or less complete, but the Doha, KL, and Washington facilites are not yet complete, and there are (I'm told by some closely involved) many engineering issues to be resolved.

The channel will launch worldwide - there's to be no regionalisation like CNN or BBC World. However it will come from 4 locations, one of which is in Washington

BTW, following on from the article about Nick Clarke is this: http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/article/240806/al_jazeera_international_bureau

Definately. That show offends me too, I find it scary that a corporation as modern as the BBC can still take stuff like that seriously...
