As a matter of fact, i do know what I was talking about. I know what a green/bluescreen is. I meant that if there was a CSO, CNN would not be showing the blue wall, they would have something keyed in to replace the blue wall. I do not apreciate your additute. I knew what I was talking about, but I might of said it in a confusing manner.

And where is the 'blue wall' I don't think any of it is CSO.

Doesn't look very CSO. You could probaly tell like you can with ITV.

Have you ever actually seen ITV News on a TV? I personally think the current CSO job is pefect. Compare it to the CSO set up the BBC have done in the past when moving studios. ITV's is miles ahead.

IIRC, ITV News employs the Ultimatte system for CSO, and it really is excellent; but it shouldn't be compared to the temporary solution the BBC used when they switched studios.

But you're right about one thing, Rob - this is another example of Seamus passing judgement on a programme he can't actually view.

Well I have watched it, and It looks fantastic, but CSO can never look exacly real, but ITV comes close, but you can still tell a little bit. My point was that CNN would have keyed something in on the blue, not show it live on air. Also, the person who thought I didn't know that you could display blue things on cso, That was tottaly off topic. I didn't even imply what could be displayed or not. You also say I can't pass of JUdgment for ITV News. I watched it on UTV. Also, just for the record, I also watched bbc news on BBC 1 NI, since they are widley avalable in the republic. Don't make judgments against other people when you can't back it up.

I still don't think you get the point of CSO, it can be real, and it can show real pictures. It's the graphics that wil never look 100% real not the CSO.
As for the CNN International CSO, can you honestly think that they would just leave it blue. Take a minute to reflect.

And no, it wasn't off topic.. your posts are just very hard to understand.

THat was exacly my point. CNNI would not leave a blank blue wall, hence it probaly would not be cso, just a painted wall. REally, That was whta I was saying. THey would obviously have something keyede in Rolling Eyes this really gets me mad. I was saying this, and you guys go all "no you do this" but tha was exacly what I was saying. REaly Rolling Eyes

COmpare to what I said before:

And my point is why say it in the first place if it's so obvious.

You provoke so many questions that need answering by some sort of psychiatrist. Everyone has and is entitled to an opinion. Starting a repsonse with the word "uh" will not gain you any friends, it will just add voices to the long list of people wanting you banned off this forum.

I understood your point Seamus; what's more I agree. I'm not sure why anyone would think it was a chromakey surface hanging in the air anyway. What would be the point?

I only suggested that you hadn't seen ITV News on-screen as you (famously) are a young man who lives in NYC, having previously lived in Ireland. You can't really blame me for jumping to that conclusion, can you?

We also agree on another thing - it is better not to pass judgement on things unless you can back it up.
