I was wondering who was Britain's current longest serving newsreader??

I know it used to be Gordon Honeycombe but I was wondering who it is now.....

I hedge my bets on either Alastair Stewart or Moira Stuart.....

How long has Fred Dinage (sp?) been going at Meridian and its predecessors? Bob Warman has been going for ages at CNW/ ATV and before that Calendar too... not sure how long for though.

Can't remember the precise year but he's been going since the mid sixties I think.

Btw, I think his surname is spelt Dinenage.

Well, I don't know about you, Joe, but he's spelt it "Fred Dineage" as long as I've known him.

I don't know about the longest serving national newsreader, but is Shereen Nanjiani the longest serving newsreader on Scotland Today?

Good ol' Fred! I like his presenting style although as I live out of the south region I have only ever seen a clip of his newsreading over the net

Have we settled this one then ?

Nicks Christmas card says Dineage, but Joe Havard and the internet seem to think Dinenage.

I can't settle until I know.
