CNNi ratios must be crap.

Anyone seen a breaking news aston on CNN yet? How much yellow do we get and are there any special effects?

Saw Larry King interrupted by a 'Live Event' earlier. Same white on red box as World News.

I saw the ticker switch to breaking news. The title section changed to yellow and had "Breaking" written in it.

And the ticker read: "This is CNN Breaking News"
then it flipped to show what was breaking
then it flipped again to say "CNN Breaking news at www.cnn.com"

I am loving the new CNN look. It's easy on the eye and a pleasure to watch. Don't like Rosemary Church's glasses though.

I wonder if the creator of this thread would mind re-naming it to a generic CNN International Thread, as we are now covering loads more topics than the AF move from BBC.

Thanks for starting it, by the way. CNNI deserves a mention.

Whilst the new look is visually pleasing, it is a tad drab. The difference between bulletins is so slight, it's hard to tell the difference between Today and Your World Today. BBC News showed how you can successfully create a corporate look, with the cream era - each programme was different, yet the common theme, both visually and musically was there. You either do that, or do a pre 2005 Sky News - have everything the same - visually there was no difference between Sunrise, Today and Live at Five.

Music is very BBC News-esq, but not as punchy.

Not bad, but I look forward with interest to see the new sets, going by the titles they should be very light, but we'll have to wait and see.

Has anyone also wondered where Monita Rajpal has gone to? Watching the London segment of CNN Today again this morning, and Andrea Sanke is yet again co-presenting with Max Foster. That's almost a month (I think) that Monita Rajpal has disappeared. Is she permanently moved elsewhere to anchor other output?

Speaking of Max Foster, I can now see that he is settling into the role. Now quite a pleasure to watch.

I am still waiting for the eventuality which will be Mr. Finighan anchoring WNE. I wish they would make it double headed, with the trio of Sweeney, Anderson and Finighan sharing the duty. It would be an excellent bulletin IMO.

I think both Rosemary and Michael Holmes are from Australia.I like her better with her glasses,but my favorite CNN lady is Zain Verjee.

According to her biography on CNN.com, Rosemary Church was born in Northern Ireland and has lived in both England and Australia. So her accent is a mixture of a few countries.

I think Rosemary is my favourite anchor on CNN. I used to like Tumi Makgabo, but I haven't seen her for ages - does anyone know what happened to her?

Dunno where she went but i know she definately left cnn after a row with management as did daljit daliwal.
