Hi all,

I'm sorry, I probably should have put this in request forums (well maybe). I'm in final year journalism, and I'm making some title sequences for our uni tv news bulletin we have to do. Its five bulletins of five minutes each - for the next five weeks. Yes I know very easy! Laughing

As i'm also reading, I also wanted an input on something else, and I quite enjoy graphics/music. Well i've teased the group with a suggestion of having presenters featuring in the title sequence, they seem to like it.

Its a short bulletin - made with crude equipment, uni is not that good but its preety alrite. Its demographs is a regional city - to be precise Lincoln.

As were going to mix in with the headlines this is what I thought about.

Arrow three headlines first (obviously very short) followed straight into opening sequence.

I thought the opening sequence would feature the three presenters (News/Sport and Weather) sort of in the city... heres the idea anyway.

(Opening seq)
Arrow main colour background / poss blue or light red im not sure with a transparent effect on that.
Layerd with moving images of (these will be in boxes of different sizes which will also be either static or flying around) of Lincoln i.e cathedral
Idea Close ups and pans of the presenters walking from differnt locations of lincoln heading into the university meeting up and then going into the newsroom.
Idea a shot of the newsroom working (again moving)
Idea static images of Lincoln in the dark... ( i have pics what I think would look really nice)
Idea Rendered rushes of what our main headlines are comibined into the sequence for the broadcast day..
Idea Followed by (if I can get it... ) a moving image of The Red Arrows flying through in formation - revealing the name of the programme

Obviously It might sound quite busy from looking at the above. I find it very hard to tell you what im going to do 'visually on screen' but I have this idea in my mind.

What do you think? Advice and critics - (hard without seeing it I know)

We'l be creating it mon/tues/wed ready for tx at the end of the week. If I can i'l try and upload the version. If i know how or were to put it.

I am doing the same thing at my Uni, so I know how hard it is to produce something of quality with the equipment that you have.

I can post something about how we do the news at my school. Hope you will be interested. Stay tuned.
