sky news mocks

I have begun posting my mocks on my blog, I currently have a schedule of my ideal SN on there, so please do visit.

Here is the first of my mocks. It is a split screen mock.

I set myself the aim of creating a mock that it both simple to understand and view, flows and looks natural and is compact yet dominating within the screen space.

Since I orginally did this I have changed the background colour of the ticker to a white colour with a blue font, and i have since aquired the sky font too. I do realise that you probab.ly will not be able to see the font. This is something that occured during compression, I am currently working to deal with this.

The address to your blog should have two forward slashes, not backward slashes.

The text on that mock is so small that if it were broadcast on TV it would just look like a smudge.

To be honest I'm not that keen on it - I think that what Sky have already is better. You've stuck to safe areas though, which is good. You just need to play around with ideas and make that text larger.

As for text, i am working on that, an I do hae an updated version which i shall be working further on.
