Yeah Tara has been a stranger to the HTV news desk lately - she did a GMTV day last week when Mr Sad was off but apart from that havent seen her much reading the news for a while.

No sign of Cath EvanWilliams - after a weekend of newsreading they all seem to take the whole week off aka Andrew last week.

HTV presenter Mal Pope has just appeared on the BBC Wales News talking about the archbishop story!

Why didnt HTV get him on their program as he is one of their presenters?

Whats going on?

One thing I did notice today, and I'll post a capture at 6.30, after the news -- is that the endcap on HTV News has changed. After nearly a year, the "Royal Television Society -- Best Regional News Programme" caption has gone [well, it did refer to 2002..]

It appears that they had to change them all due to them losing the RTS Best daily news program title as it has now gone to the bbc whom also end with a caption now stating a similar thing!

Perhaps he's freelance, or HTV just didn't have time to snap him up!

Once again, Wales Today bettered HTV News in its coverage of a news story -- better graphics, several interviews, asking people on the streets of Cardiff, Newport and Bangor, and a special split screen too.

Plus Jason Mohammed was showing us the RTS award Wales Today have won for Best Regional Daily News Programme, particularly for their coverage of the Clydach murders, which spanned 2001-2002. They had a special aston strap during the end [will this be shown every day for a year, like on HTV News, I wonder?]
Quite the achievement to go from HTV to Wales Today, and some RTS awards stay in Wales!

I'd suggest no-one dares come on commenting about the relative "regionality" of either HTV News or Wales Today.. Just - don't - go - there..

Well Tara has a long day today doesnt she - in at lunchtime possibly earlier to prepare for the 3pm bulletin and doing the 6pm and late night bulletin as well.

Every night this week there has been one of the 6pm presenters on the late night news - not that I mind cos the 6pm presenters are always decent and you might get lumbered with Mcteer or Horseworthy if they brought someone extra in!

I wonder if tommorow we will have a complete change of presenters?

Maybe Justina on GMTV/Lunchtime and Steve and Juliet on at 6pm - oh and Cath Zeta Williams to round off the week on the late night news.

Hmmm, legal reasons, I wonder why, do we know what the programme should have been about?

Well according to the strange announcement made before the 'dropped' program it was something to do with Newport Police force!

Surely just mentioning what it was about breaches the injunction put around the program?

I wonder where HTV stand legally as theyve now mentioned the program content?
