Thank God you lot aren't the storyliners... 'Sally should have an affair!' Very inventive... Actually maybe you are the one dimensional minds who do write the storylines! If they can't come up with one idea for Sally in the 15 or so years she's been in it that doesn't involve her sleeping around, they should start to worry.

I'm actually amazed at the laziness of it all. It's like the standard Storyline safety net - an affair! Brilliant, Drinks at 5pm.

I do agree that Corrie has a huge number of characters who have been knocking about for years doing very little. It does make it more realistic, I guess. But characters like Martin, I think are more popular than they are given credit for.

Yeah but Sally has never had an affair with someone so young as Jason - he needs a storyline also, and sleeping with his mums best friend who lives next door and is married could be an interesting storyline I thought.

And im sorry to say Sally should never have married Kevin again - He's BORING and now so is she.

Bless Betty, she hasn't had a storyline in years.

"Hotpot Ken?" "Yes luvvie!" (Rattles necklace) Wink

Yeah the last time she appeared was when she was giving Maria advice over her pregnancy and they brought up about her own experience. Other than that the last storyline she had was when Bet Lynch came back and it was Betty's retirement party - and then 2 months later she was back in the rovers anyway and Bet had gone.

Not as boring as Roy though. Wink

That's true - Roy is really annoying now, much worse than Kevin

Didn't Betty retire?

She had a retirement party, went away, came back, covered one shift and seems to have worked since. Have I missed something?

The whole Betty retiring storyline was seemingly created to allow a reason for Bet Gilroy to return to the Street. And we know how short lived that was.

However, Betty did retire and went to live with her son and daughter in law, but her daughter in law wanted her put in a home I think. So she came back.

and bearing in mind she's about 80, I think 'Hotpot lovey' is quite enough, although she got involved in the 'Maria's pregancy' storyline

Betty has a very sad life compared to the rest of the street.

BTW- Will Janice and Les get back together?

No, Janice and Les will not be getting back together. Janice wants a divorce and she's going to move in with Mick, her lastest boyfriend.

Yeah I think Betty is 80 - im suprised the actress hasnt wanted to retire.

And I dont think its that realistic her still working at a bar at her age - not that im being ageist but wouldnt it be more realistic if she was working in the corner shop or somewhere.

Actually she is over 80 - I do remember hearing somewhere that Betty Driver (her real name) said her character was coming up to 82 or 83 now.

Betty is in charge of the kitchen, not the bar, hence the infamous Lancashire Hot Pot!
Why do you think she is sad MDR?
