I've have done some simple moks that I hope would improve the ITV News Channel.
I have tried to do them basically, as I can't animate, so I hope you can understand.
The clock:
The screen would be blank until after the ITV News and name sting.
After said sting, the 4 squares in cube form, would fly from the left of the screen. When in position they would turn to the next face of the cube that would be the background of the clock. The ITV News logo, time & date would fade on. The background would animate as it does in the titles and graphics except slowly.
This shows a simple step by step.

As you can see at the bottom, for live reports, the live dog would now replace the date during that report.
Next for the astons.
The astons would generally animate on in the same way as the headline astons on the main bulletins currently, i.e. square by square.
The difference is that they animate with the globe returning to them (even though it's now in the form of the cubes), which would animate slowly turning, with a light effect going across them.

On to the tickers.
The tickers would animate on screen with the dark blue bar appearing to the right of the clock and moving right across the screen revealing the ticker, then the text would scroll across. The animation would work in reverse when going off screen, as then would the clock.
In breaking news circumstances, the normal ticker would wipe off screen with a red ticker wiping on.
