BBC News 24 Graphics Update

BBC News 24: The Update of Graphics

A year on, im not really happy with the graphics on BBC News 24 so i have made these ones. Sort of american style but i like them. Really when looking at the 1st few, imagine them animated becouse i couldnt!!

The countdown. This would all animate in, when the time to the top of the hour is at 10 seconds. it would all come in at the same time, and the text would do a wipe effect and would then animate in, while the clock moved down to zero.

In the final seconds of the countdown (the last 10) the words would all animate off and the numbers will all appear on screen.

Headlines. This is the start of the headlines. The 1st and main story will have the presenter beside the video playing

and would then go to this style without the presenter. Sorry for using the same image

The sidebar. The "BBC NEWS 24" going up the side would slowly crawl up and the globe would animate at the side. My side bar graphic isnt great but would have a better image idea on-screen!

The info-bar aston. Would animate in by the white lines from right to left by flying in.

The clock on its own. The globe in the background of this would spin, but this isnt the same globe that is on N24 now. Look closley!

Well done, but I would like to point out something that lots of news-mockers do....not leave enough text space.

You see it all the time....you need more space sometimes than that provided by the "Greg Dyke resigns...again" kind of space.

At least you haven't made the classic mistake of a limited location graphic space, where the mocker uses the example of "York" or something equally short and it is obvious that nothing longer than 5 letters would fit.
