Hi, its that time again to ask people what their ideal Christmas line-up's are.
Well, here's mine:

My ideal christmas schedule is the one lined up on BBC1 this year! a bit of something for everyone!

well, I spent about an hour creating a Christmas Day listing - then it went into DEBUG mode. !!!

I had the same in another post, luckily I pressed back, and I was able to copy and then add it when it stopped playing up!

A decent schedule there. I'm not sure about a few things, like the quizzes before the Queen, no soaps (as these bring the ratings), I quite like the idea of Parkinson in their too, and Ant & Dec, I'd prefer the panto to be on Christmas Eve late afternoon/early evening.

So I'd have

7:00 Ant & Dec Christmas Takeaway
8:00 Coronation Street
9:00 Parkinson

Though the nightmare before Christmas is actually a PG, they always seem to air it at night though. That would also be nice on Christmas Eve.

I was also thinking, to increase audiences, and get revenue lost from ads, how about having interactive content with each programme with money or prizes up for grabs or something. At 50p a connection, they could make money back and more.

What if Owen doesn't want to work Christmas Day?

Everyday I would show Breakfast for 1 hour from 18th December up until 3rd January 2005. I would also show a season of Hitchcock films which would guarantee big ratings and TOTP2 everynight and a late night season of vintage horror films.
Maybe I should apply for a job as a scheduler at BBC2 (only joking)

I only created that scheldule because its what I would really like to see on Christmas Day, I wouldn't have any soaps you see.

I know thats not that much different but I think that it would be a good Christmas line-up, in my opinion.

CITV at 05.00 on Boxing morning? - sure fire ratings winner..

In previous years CITV has had some sort of programmes at that time over Chritsmas.

Yeah I think it's mainly as children tend to be up earlier than adults, plus as it's Christmas the ITV Morning News becomes a 5 minute summary so they use it to fill a gap. It's usually just CiTV branded, though before it's gone out with just network announcements saying, now on ITV as part of CiTV (one even said as part of Childrens ITV...). I believe last year was branded and featured Tots programmes like Engie Bengy, etc, where as on previous years they've shown't old american imports like Extreme Dinosaurs and the Hurricanes, etc.

I like where you've added the panto, nice position, though more audience may be achieved on Christmas Eve afternoon/early evening, though as for a film, isn't Jack Frost on BBC One this Christmas?
