I like all of them, but you stopped being TV "safe" on last one. All the viewer would see it the screenshot of Will and Grace. Other than that no problems.

Maybe we do it a little differently in the US of A, but a master control operator would get a little antsy about the closeness to the edge.
Take a look at my image for a minute. Suspend the thought of it being in 16x9 720p for a moment. Note the placement of text in relation to the edges of the screen:

The dark gray area line is the outer boundary of the 16x9 NTSC Widescreen Image. Text in this area is liable to not be seen on an NTSC TV.
Then compare with this: (by a fellow mock designer in the US)

Also note the placement. Over here, we have a strict 'safe area' for NTSC broadasts, and the results are embarassing on ovoid-shaped TVs when the aren't followed properly. I'm not familiar with the standards in Europe, but feel free to enlighten.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the idea of the first ident, it was brilliant - if anything just make it widescreen and make the blue corners bigger so it doesn't show so much black on screen - black and bright colours together can look very dramatic and fun - go for it!
Your original design and channel logo were also simple enough that you could change the colour of the corners AND the logo to fit in with different themed idents.
