Shrink the dog and remove the colour from it.
Also, although as your mocking what viewers see it doesn't matter to much, but safe areas do general improve the look of the mocks. Generally this means that graphics and text do not go to the edge of the screen. Make sure nothing is too near the top or bottom, and do the same at the side - but with a larger gap to take account of widescreen pictures being cropped for 4:3 TV.
P.S. Good to see a thread offering contructive criticism and advice, especially as recently the threads with most replies seem to be the obviously bad mocks.

I took his idea, and just tweaked it a bit - didn't spend a huge amount of time on these, and it shows! But i'm just designing the concept.
Lets say itv use the new box method for Citv (which would technically mean it would be itvC - but I don't think ITV would mind that anyway)
I also built on the ideas for ITV4 (All yellow) idea to complete the collection of colours...
I wasn't quite sure what to use as the background to this image, maybe some cartoons dancing about or something (The opening citv logo change, could just be the ITV1 logo rotating into the ITVC logo):

This one's pretty poor font wise, but it's the concept (i've made it curved to try to represent a C)

Dog, although its probably too big:

Ditto.
ITVC just doesn't sound right. Try putting the C on top of the ITV logo, and again, shrink the dog and make it translucent.
