I am in shock at this one just caught the Border Scotland optout again on ITV 1 they have just gone into Scotsport with the old news ident and that pathetic script they have had for the past four years .
"whatever the game we always know the score time now for Scotsport "obviously the new look doesn't apply to Border Scotland then ?.

Seems like Border are taking advantage of the clean feed then?

No they are just lazy ******** and have always been the same with the Border Scotland optout .Even during the Hearts era we got the same scripted pre recorded announcements for five yrs.The voices have changed but the scripts are still the same what a joke and especially with a rebrand today on ITV 1 and they are still showing the old news ident next we will be getting the Rona Cameron celeb regional ident .

I don't think that Border have anything to do with the transmission i'm sure it comes from Leeds .

ITV was the sole cause of the wranglings between ITV and Sky. They did not submit their request for an EPG number before the deadline, and so they missed out. Sky gave broadcasters plenty of warning about the deadline, so what more can they do?

ITV had expressed an interest in buying out GSkyB over the last year or so, and today was the day that they finalised it.

ITV obviously saw fit to close down Granada Plus seeing as ITV3 more or less fits exactly the same bill. They could have left the channel open for cable viewers, bringing the channel back to Sky in the new year, but what's the use in having two channels from the same company with more or less the same programming (all be it without classic corrie etc).

Well there are TWO SIDES to each story and we will never know the exact reasoning behind the decisions made by ITV and SKY - but from what has happened there has been some desperate decision making somewhere!

Personally, the addition of ITV3 to SKY wouldve been beneficial to the satellite broadcaster rather than adding even more shopping channels! So SKY couldn't add anymore channels to the platform but could change EPG information around giving ITV2/3 118/119. (alledgelly within 4 hours notice!!)

Something doesn't add up and I can't work out exactly what it is at the moment! Im sure more information about this bizarre situation will arise soon!

Looking on the bright-side - ITV3 is now on all platforms. Looking at the current ITV3 schedule doesnt excite me but with the addition of some of the better Plus programming will make it into quite a watchabale channel!

Another good thing to come out of all this is that ITV2 (and now 3) are on much better positions on the EPG. We'll no longer have to wade through all the rubbish like Life TV to get to them. All that needs shifting up a bit now is E4.

I know it's a shame that Plus has been axed, and certainly in the manner they've done it. However let's hope that some of the best shows get put on ITV3. If there's a clear market for them and they have the rights they're bound to screen them.

Also, any news of getting EPG data on Sky? Everything is 'This Is ITV3' at the moment. Do other platforms have the same?

A Border ident has aired with the regional name under the ITV1 - fading on just like in Wales.

Sorry if this has already been said, but I've noticed since yesterday, Scottish TV seem to be using a new 'Next' animation. No logo, just the Scottish/Grampian squares (as usual Rolling Eyes ). Before yesterday, we took a feed off ITV1 for the Next caption. Noticed it after the ITV Lunchtime News.

So they haven't dropped the regional names entirely then!
