I think it looks nice, although let down by the window really, I mean of all the images they could have in the background, dirty roof tops of what I assume is a view of London is not the most inspiring.

Behind one of the presenters all you see is a massive big brick wall. Is that a view from the London studios or something ?

It was funny how Kate said "ooh can you in the window out there do your hair up" then seconds later they showed it was just a background! D'oh!

She actually said "Put some make-up on". The strange thing is that sunlight reflections are appearing on the ledge (too bright for a screen). I thought it was a camera shot, or have they gone right through the studio wall?

One thing I've noticed, which is strnge, is that GMTV2 are cropping 4:3 prgramems to 16:9. They used to be able to aspect ratio switch for the minority of 16:9 programmes they had (as well as trialers & adverts), is this yet another case of CBBC- where they magically become unable to aspect ratio switch so after the main content goes 16:9? Seeing as GMTV2 are most likely using the same equipment and gallery as before, there doesn't seem to be any logical reason why this should be the case.

One thing which strikes me is that they haven't mentioned the switch to widescreen, which was prob the most expensive part of the changeover.

I'm pretty sure the studio has been ready for widescreen for quite some time so it probably wasn't all that expensive to go widescreen.

Probabally just the case of flicking a few switches.

I aggree with an above poster on the GMTV2 thing. It seems strange that so many times the ablility to aspect ratio switch is magically lost after the main content switches to 16:9. I've seen GMTV2 often show programmes in 16:9, so certinally the main GMTV progs going 16:9 has made no difference at all on this front.

Well I don't pretend to know anything about such things.

I really don't like that background. It's too static and too apparent.
