I think Indonesia is the only country that wasn't taking the Opening Ceremony Live. At least thats what Bruce Macavaney (Seven Network Commentator) said during the opening ceremony this morning, and he's pretty reliable with his information and stuff, but who knows...perhaps NBC did delay it?
They didn't show the ceremony live?! How disappointing! I watched the opening ceremony of the Atlanta games in Indonesia, and although I am not 100% sure about this (chances are that I am not) but the ceremony had commentry in English with the Indonesian commentators speaking over them, that is atleast how I remember it.
Anyway, I am surprised they didn't show it live for the die hard fans since when the flame was actually lit it would have been about 4am in the capital so it is not as if they are taking up too much prime time viewing.
